Adrian Mendez is 5 years old. He was diagnosed with DIPG on August 24,2023. Adrian was hospitalized at Boston Children’s Hospital for 3 months and got treated with radiation for 6 weeks at Mass General Hospital. On November 30,2023 Adrian had his first MRI and radiation did an amazing job. We spent a total of 5 months in Boston getting care for Adrian’s DIPG. On December we were sent back home to Maine. Ever since, Adrian has been home with family getting a lot of love and well care. It’s been a very rough journey with Adrian. He’s been going through rough days battling hard. He’s an amazing and happy kiddo who loves to sing his ABC’s, colors and shapes. He loves to do the Peek A Boo to his little sister. He loves pizza, Hershey Kisses and mac & cheese. Loves music, loves the beach and he’s a very brave kid. Sadly, a lot has changed in Adrian as lately he has been more tired and his body is starting to shut down.
