Avery was a fun loving, energetic 6 year-old, who had just started 1st grade.  She loved to sing, dance, and go to Disneyland.  Our lives were forever changed when she was diagnosed with DIPG. She took part in a clinical trial at the National Institutes of health, but after a few short months after radiation ended her tumor had spread and began to grow again. We then came home and received treatment at Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC). Six months after being diagnosed she lost her battle, just three weeks shy of her seventh birthday.
