Lincoln is the sweetest boy. He was born with a very rare tumor in his heart that required emergency open heart surgery on February 16, 2022 and he recovered beautifully! We hit the 1 year mark of his surgery and we were so relieved to have that behind us and that he was doing so wonderful. On March 14, 2023 I took him to the local children's emergency room for vomiting episodes he had been having that the pediatrician could not explain. They immediately did a CT scan and found a "mass" on his brain. He was transported by ambulance to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital that evening and had surgery on March 16, 2023- exactly 13 months to the day after his open heart surgery. Four tumors were removed from his cerebellum and he was diagnosed with medulloblastoma. He also has a rare genetic condition called Gorlin's Syndrome that complicates his case because it does not pair well with radiation. He is currently undergoing 8 cycles of chemo therapy at St. Jude Hospital in Memphis, TN.
