Gena Keller Director of Donor Relations

Gena Keller, Director of Donor Relations

1. What brought you to CSN?
Our youngest child Mary Katherine was diagnosed with DIPG in 2017 at the age of 4. She battled for 9 months, during which time she participated in a trial that was funded by The Cure Starts Now. We were intrigued by the approach CSN took to fund actual research to find a cure. We were equally endeared by the genuine compassion and care that the organization has for each and every family/child in the fight. One of the best ways we felt we could honor Mary Katherine and attempt to bring something good out of something so devastating was to start a chapter in 2020.

2. What I do at CSN
In my role as Director of Donor Relations, I have the privilege of getting to know donors from across the country, ensuring they know the impact their gifts are making, and expressing gratitude to all of our wonderful donors.

3. What I like most about my job
I feel so blessed that my job is my calling. Every person I’ve met that is part of this organization is inspiring. It is humbling to get to work with so many amazing, passionate and talented people who also believe wholeheartedly in this important mission.

4. What moment have you cherished most at CSN?
The realization that CSN embodies the concept that we are stronger and more effective when we work together to reach our common goal.

5. Many people would be surprised if they knew I…
I hosted a talk show and produced another during my days in the cable industry.
