In honor and celebration of Liam Comboye
Liam was just three years old when DIPG took him from us, but in his short time here he filled our lives with immeasurable love and joy. The firstborn in our family, Liam was a brilliant, sweet, and kind little boy, an old soul with wisdom far beyond his years. His laughter was infectious, his heart pure, and his spirit endlessly bright.
Even as a toddler, Liam amazed those around him with his intelligence and thoughtfulness. A kindergarten teacher once shared a video of 18-month-old Liam singing the ABC’s and matching letters to different pictures at a teaching conference, moved to tears by his remarkable spark. He often said he wanted to “help people” when he grew up, dreaming of giving to others with his generous heart.
Liam was a devoted big brother to Brody and Mommy’s constant helper, always by her side. Liam never got the chance to meet his baby sister Aurora, she reminds me of Liam so much! Liam was, and will always be, the joy of our lives a beautiful light whose soul continues to guide us every day.
Ongoing Event Fundraisers
Caps for the Cure is a fun and easy way to raise much needed funds and awareness for pediatric brain cancer research. We are asking schools across the country to help us in this battle by allowing their students to wear a hat for the day to show their support for pediatric brain cancer research. In exchange for their ability to wear a hat for the day, students will donate $1.00 to The Cure Starts Now
