The Heart of It
This mission matters to me because it’s about showing up for families during the hardest chapter of their lives and making sure their child is never forgotten. Being trusted with something that personal is a really big deal to me. Even when the work is heavy, there’s purpose behind every single thing we do...and knowing it all supports research and hope makes it worth it every time.

What I Do
Behind the scenes, I’m deep in planning mode...timelines, logistics, details, emails, and making sure nothing gets missed. I work closely with our chapters to turn ideas into actual events that feel meaningful and intentional. On event day, I’m in my element: running around, fixing problems before anyone notices, hyping people up, and making sure the vibe is right from start to finish.

A Memory I will Never Forget
Every August, we host On Course Fore a Cure, a golf outing held in honor of three incredible girls: Elena Desserich, Harleigh Vanhorn, and Ayla Slivka. This event means so much to me because it’s truly built with the families. It’s not just something we plan for them; it’s something we create together, year after year, to honor their girls in a way that feels right.
This year was especially emotional. The outing landed during the week of what would have been Ayla’s 10th birthday, and you could feel her presence all day. Then came one of those moments that still gives me chills ... Ayla’s dad hit a hole in one and won $10,000. The timing felt unreal, like a little wink from Ayla reminding us she was still very much part of the day. That night at dinner, we all sang Happy Birthday to her. It was tender, emotional, and filled with so much love. Moments like that are why I care so deeply about this work. These events aren’t just fundraisers. They’re about honoring these girls, holding space for their families, and making sure their stories live on...while still finding moments of joy along the way.

Looking Forward
I’m excited to keep creating events that feel personal, fun, and full of heart. I love trying new ideas, working with chapters, and finding ways to bring joy and laughter into spaces that really need it. If I can help make something meaningful and keep it light when it needs to be, I’m all in.
